I have put in a LOT of time this year either diving off my Kraken, jumping in from shore, or off buddies boats staring at sand looking for California Halibut.

The Kraken makes a great platform for hunting these fish and allows me to cover more ground, and keep the fish safe from seals etc. while I keep diving.

These fish are meaty and tasty, but can be frustrating to hunt as you can stare at miles of sand without seeing any, or you can see one on your very first dive.

Between April and September I managed to spear 36 Halibut and they have all been devoured fresh by my family and friends.

Here is a compilation video of some of my favorite footage from my six months this year of hunting these fish across four different counties:

Thanks for looking!

Sincerely,

Jim
