One of the first things I removed when I switched from car camping to kayak camping was my tent. Now I only use the tent for adverse weather. I prefer a hammock because I sleep better, it doesn’t require the foot print of a tent and packs easier in a kayak. Here’s a review of a great sleeping bag that has a built in sleeve to hold your sleeping pad in place while you sleep. Having a sleeping pad underneath you is great for providing a little extra insulation on cold nights.
