Jackson Kayaks and Camping Adventures

Some of my most memorable moments kayak fishing is when I go on camping adventures with my wife, friends and family. We love the thinking, planning, and executing some of our most adventurist times that include hitching up the camper and of course tying down our Jackson Kayaks. There’s this awesome mental thought goes into our camping adventures. We absolutely love the outdoors and when we throw a new body of water to fish and explore, my imagination runs wild.

Some of the different lakes I’ve explored while camping includes Fall Creek Falls State Park in Tennessee that has its own lake that only allows kayaks or boats with electric motors and no gas-powered motors are allowed and that is a perk in itself, Tugaloo State Park in Georgia off of Lake Hartwell and recently Briary Creek in Virginia.

When planning a trip, you should do a map study of the lake as well as the park you plan on camping in. For instance, during the fall and winter Fall Creek Falls does not charge a lake permit fee as well as there is no water level change due to a damn and all you’ll need of course is your PFD or “personal flotation device”. Check on the availability of cooler ice, but if you’re like us and own an Orion Cooler you may be able to make your trip with ice from your fridge especially if your trip is for a long weekend.

So, get your Jackson Kayaks strapped down, fill your Orion Coolers full of ice, do some map study’s and get out there and explore. Don’t forget your fishing poles as well as extra tackle. You never know, that trophy fish may be waiting for you on your next adventure.
